Article & Photos by, Steve Parsons

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park located about 19 miles south of Puyallup on Hwy 161 offers visitors a learning experience thats fun for all ages. From a classroom like theater to trams that carry visitors through an open wildlife roaming area where bison, deer, sheep, moose and more wildlife wander in the open.

                 Say Cheese!                                   Big Herd Bull

Now is a great time to go visit the park while the elk are smack dab in the middle of the rut. See the big herd bull gather his harem warding off smaller satellite bulls that wait on the fringes for an opportunity to catch an unattended cow.

Don't push!!                                          Stop tailgating!

You'll see geese, swans, eagles and owls. What else is there you ask? There's beaver, bears, wolves, cougars and much, much more. All on self guided trails, along the way you will learn about the northwest forest.
